The Mobotix system
The Mobotix camera system is a German product. It comes with a premium price which is reflected in the quality of the camera bodies and lenses.
These are used in Antarctica and Mt Everest straight out of the box – it has no moving parts, low power usage, and military spec security certificates.
The thermal range of these cameras has been used in coal power stations to show and trigger alerts/alarms if machinery is heating up and likely to cause a fire or detection along a long fenceline if an intruder enters the secured area.
These also work very reliably in freezers and cool rooms and salty environments where corrosion is an issue.
This system records to a Network Attached Storage (NAS) and is amazingly quick when searching through footage
